The Agriturismo and Organic Farm Walden is located in Umbria, amidst the hills and green woods 20 km from Orvieto.The place spreads over about 30 hectares, surrounded by woods we find 4 flats, a restaurant, a sauna in the woods and an outdoor swimming pool equipped with a transparent cover in the mid-season. On the farm we have donkeys, calves, hens, pigeons, rabbits, dogs, cats and bees, there are paths for nice short and long walks and there are various play areas for children.The 4 large flats are colourful and comfortable, with multiple bedrooms and spacious kitchen-living rooms, private entrances and terraces or verandas equipped with tables and chairs, all flats overlook large green spaces of garden and woods. We have a large multi-purpose hall with a projector and sound system, tatami mats, a built-in piano and a large wood-burning fireplace. The hall, which can be rented for events, seminars and courses, is the home of Walden's Kitchen, our restaurant where we serve fixed menus with seasonal variations, based on our own organic produce and products from neighbouring farms.The farm, founded in 1983 on the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture, has developed over the years and with the change of generations into a flowering of family farming that is attentive to tradition and projected towards a future in harmony with the environment.Walden is centrally located for visiting cultural and artistic attractions in the area, as well as for hiking and various sporting activities such as climbing, trekking, rafting, horse riding or cycling.
