In the green heart of Umbria in Deruta, a town known throughout the world for its art of pottery, just a short distance from Assisi, Perugia, Todi and Spoleto stands "L'antico Forziere". Restaurant and Country House is a medieval farmhouse considered by the region of Umbria to be part of the region's rural heritage. In a cosy and serene atmosphere, the Rodella family welcomes its guests in the ancient building and in the elegant dining room, where exposed beams and wide stone arches infuse evocative emotions. The summer terrace, ideal for ceremonies, lunches or candlelight dinners, and the large garden full of flowers and scents frame the panoramic swimming pool overlooking the wide valley of the Tiber river. The country house has a private SPA, two mezzanine suites with an independent entrance on the garden and six rooms furnished with careful attention to detail. The suite, unlike the other rooms, is more spacious and has within the same room a double bed on a large wooden mezzanine and on the lower floor a sitting room with sofa bed, bathroom and an independent exit to the garden. Each room has air conditioning, minibar, TV, free Wi-Fi, safe and bathroom with hairdryer. In the restaurant, the gastronomic proposal of the Chefs (twins) Stefano and Andrea Rodella, starts with traditional products but is characterised and enhanced by creativity and imagination, so much so that it has been mentioned in the Gambero Rosso and Michelin guides.
