The 50th edition of the concert season will bring a rich programme of concerts to Terni, at the Sergio Secci Theatre

The 50th concert season of the Associazione Filarmonica Umbra will once again this year offer a rich cultural programme of events, from October 2024 to April 2025, at the Teatro Sergio Secci in Terni. The opening night will be Friday 11 October, 9pm, with internationally renowned pianist Andrea Lucchesini, with a programme dedicated to Beethoven, Schumann and Liszt.  On 27 October, at 5.30 p.m., the Ensemble Indialucia will perform. On 6 November, at 9 p.m., it will be the turn of Michael Barenboim, on violin and viola, accompanied by the pianist Natalia Pegarkova; on 24 November, at 5:30 p.m., the piano duo of André Gallo and Igor Roma will perform music by Mozart, Poulenc, Šostakovič and Brahms. On Sunday 8 December, at 5.30 p.m., the Perugia Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Enrico Bronzi, will perform works by Mozart and Haydn. The New Year will open on Sunday 5 January at 5.30 p.m. with Bass Gang, who will bring a medley of classical, modern and pop music to the stage.  On 19 January, at 5.30 p.m., the Istituzione Sinfonica Abruzzese Orchestra will perform Brahms' First Serenade and Bruch's First Violin Concerto, with violinist Ilya Grubert. On 16 February, at 5.30 p.m., the theatre will host the Pražák Quartet, which, with Sandro De Palma at the piano, will perform two masterpieces by Debussy and Dvořák. On Sunday 2 March, at 5.30 p.m., pianist Francesco Nicolosi will perform with narrator Stefano Valanzuolo for ‘La musica miracolosa. History and legend of Wladyslaw Szpilman, the pianist from the Warsaw ghetto'. On Sunday 16 March, again at 5.30 p.m., Federico Mondelci will conduct and play saxophone with the Orchestra dell'Istituzione Sinfonica Abruzzese, performing pieces by Morriconi, Rota and Bernstein. On 4 April, at 9 p.m., the brothers Francesco (cello) and Angelo Pepicelli (piano), known as PiCello Bros, will present ‘Specchi deformanti’ with music by Beethoven, Schnittke and Molinelli.  The final evening of the season will be Friday 11 April, at 9pm, with the Gate Duo, consisting of Simone Bellagamba on saxophone and William Belpassi on piano, who will perform pieces by Bédard, Creston, Fitkin, Heiden, López and Perinpanathan.
