The prose season kicks off at Terni's Teatro Secci with a rich programme of performances

Terni

23.10.2024 - 12.04.2025

The 2024/2025 Season will start at the Secci Theatre in Terni on 23 October 2024 and will last until 12 April 2025. The programme includes, from 23 to 26 October, ‘Matteotti - anatomy of a fascism’, a play by Stefano Massini to commemorate the centenary of the assassination of Giacomo Matteotti. Then, on 14 and 15 November, Domenico Pinelli will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the death of Eduardo De Filippo with ‘Ditegli sempre di sì’, a comedy that, through an impeccable comic mechanism, explores the theme of madness in a light and profound way. On 28 and 29 November, it will be the turn of ‘Eretici’, a play written and directed by Matthias Martelli, which recounts the lives of those who, over the centuries, have challenged the dominant thought: scientists, philosophers, artists, and free thinkers, whose contributions, despite opposition and contempt, have overcome the barriers of time. On 9 and 10 December, Roberto Valerio will stage Carlo Goldoni's ‘Il Giuocatore’, a black comedy that reflects on human vices and hypocrisies in a contemporary way. The year 2025 will open on 11 and 12 January with Amanda Sandrelli and Gigio Alberti in ‘Vicini di casa’, an ironic and provocative comedy that tackles the inhibitions and hypocrisies of modern society. On 28 and 29 January, ‘Uncle Vanya’ by Anton Checov, the second chapter of the trilogy that Leonardo Lidi dedicates to the Russian playwright. On 20 and 21 February, dance will be the protagonist with Virgilio Sieni and his ‘Sonate Bach’.  On 6 and 7 March, ‘Molto dolore per nulla’, winner of In-box live 2024/2025, written and performed by Luisa Borini, will be staged. On 29 and 30 March, Guglielmo Ferro will bring to the stage the show ‘Storia di una capinera’, an adaptation of Giovanni Verga's first novel. On 9 and 10 April, it will be the turn of ‘Seconda Classe’ by Controcanto Collettivo, a critical investigation into the inequality of wealth and the injustice of its distribution. The Prose Season will conclude on 12 April with ‘Seeking Unicorns’ by Chiara Bersani. For the complete programme HERE For further information: website: Teatrostabile.umbria
