72nd Umbrian Musical Festival
Umbria is going to renew the appointment with the Umbrian Musical Festival, that will take place from the 7th to the 17th September with a programmatic itinerary entitled “Fratres” (Brothers).
The festival, also this year, offers a programme full of appointments, with 23 events spread over eleven different spots, chosen for their spiritual, landscape and artistic heritage unique in the world.
The festival will be opened by the White Midnight of Choirs, that serves as a prelude to the festival and will flood with choral groups the historical centre of Perugia, with more than 30 events widespread already in the afternoon.
Acquasparta, Assisi, Montefalco, Panicale, San Gemini and Torgiano are some of the other villages which will host the Umbrian Musical Festival, that will end on the 17th September, at the St. Francis Upper Basilica in Assisi, with the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir, led by Filippo Maria Bressan and connected with the Perugia Chamber Orchestra.
Furthermore the Festival will return to devote a special attention to the young Umbrian talents with the “Midday Concerts”, at the Penna Palace in Perugia, with five appointments at 12 pm.
It’s a rich and varied itinerary, among music, art and culture, that will end, as every year, with the “Music of Hope”: two concerts that will see as protagonist the flutes ensemble of the Perugia Chamber Orchestra.
