Innamorati di Orvieto
Once again, from 14 to 18 February 2024, the event “Innamorati di Orvieto” (In Love with Orvieto) will take place. It celebrates the love for the city in all its forms on the occasion of Saint Valentine's Day: moonlight in St. Patrick's Well, experiences among crafts, food and wine in the underground passages of the hidden city, serenades from the balconies of the historical centre, free tastings at the Palazzo dei Sette, music and theatre in cooperation with the city associations.
The protagonists of the initiative are Orvieto's underground passages in a romantic and mysterious journey of discovery of the hidden city, which over the four days will host a series of exciting and engaging experiences.
The moon will once again descend into St. Patrick's Well for the world's deepest kiss. On Saturday 18 February, from 6 to 8 p.m., a special guided tour is scheduled. Lovers will descend the 248 steps of the monument accompanied by famous couples from the greatest musicals in history, who will be given life and voice by the artists of the Compagnia Mastro Titta. At the end there will be a tasting of wine and local products. On Valentine's Day all the underground passages adhering to “Innamorati di Orvieto” (Orvieto Underground, Pozzo della Cava, Labirinto di Adriano and the underground passages of Sant’Andrea) will have a reduced price entrance for couples.
Whether free or guided, “Innamorati di Orvieto” will be an opportunity to discover everything there is to know about the hidden city and the history of Orvieto.
Music and theatre complete the programme of the event.
