The UmbriaLibri literary review, curated by Angelo Mellone, returns with two appointments, the first, ‘Autumn Writings’, from 25 to 27 October 2024 in the historic centre of Perugia, at Corso Vannucci and Piazza Matteotti, and the second in Terni from 6 to 8 December 2024.
Once again this year, the event will represent a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in a world of books, meetings with writers and in-depth studies on topics ranging from poetry to art and from history to fiction.
There will also be the opportunity to discover new regional publications and to participate in stimulating debates with experts and authors. 
UmbriaLibri will not only be a celebration of reading, but a showcase for Umbria's publishing excellence.
The first day of the event, 25 October, will open in the morning at Palazzo Graziani with a debate devoted to local publishing with Angelo Mellone, Andrea Di Consoli and Giovanni Francesio, while in the afternoon Giancarlo De Cataldo will take the stage at 5 pm to present his book Per questi motivi, followed by Luca Bianchini's presentation of Il cuore è uno zingaro at 6 pm, and finally Antonio Moresco's presentation of Canto del buio e della luce at 6.45 pm.
The second day, Saturday 26 October, will start early with Breakfast with the Books, the cultural press review appointment curated by Greta Mauro and Lorenzo Lo Basso, at 9 am at the Ex Borsa Merci. The morning will continue with numerous presentations, including those of Cristina Stillitano with A luglio non succede mai niente, Andrea Caterini with Sparring partner, Giorgio Biferali with Sono quasi pronto, and Mariolina Venezia with Rione Serra Venerdì. Imma Tataranni and the traps of the past. 
Among the guests scheduled in the afternoon at San Francesco al Prato: Walter Siti with C'era una volta il corpo at 4pm, followed by Fabio Volo at 4.45pm and Giancarlo De Cataldo with Il bacio del calabrone at 6.15pm. Closing the day will be the eagerly awaited appointment with international guest Philippe Forest who will present Io resto re dei miei dolori.
On Sunday 27 October, a rich programme will close the event. Among the many encounters: Alessandro Sortino at the National Gallery of Umbria will present Il Dio nuovo at 10.45 a.m., leaving the stage at 11.30 a.m. to Marino Bartoletti with La partita degli dei, and finally to Marco Ferrante with Ritorno in Puglia at 12.15 p.m.
In addition to the award ceremony of the Opera Prima ‘Severino Cesari’ National Literary Prize, which will be held in Palazzo Graziani at 11.30 a.m. with the presentation of the three finalists and proclamation of the winner. In the afternoon, however, in the Sala dei Notari at 4.00 p.m. Selvaggia Lucarelli will dialogue with Angelo Mellone on L'amore non è un like (Love is not a like), followed by Matteo Nucci at 5.15 p.m. presenting Sognava i leoni (Dreaming of Lions) and Giulia Caminito her new novel Il male che non c'è (The Evil that is Not There) at 6.00 p.m. The closing event will see world-famous Scottish writer Irvine Welsh on stage at 6.45 p.m., who will narrate Resolution.
