Un Castello all'Orizzonte 2024

The 12th edition of "Un Castello all'Orizzonte" returns to Castello di Postignano, from the end of April to November 2024.
Once again this year the event will offer the public a rich programme, including: 4 permanent exhibitions of photography and contemporary art, 4 master classes (2 in drawing, 1 in piano, 1 in baroque cello and Italian instrumental music from the 17th to the 18th century), 2 temporary photography exhibitions, 2 documentary screenings, 3 "meetings with the author" and 10 concerts, from ancient to classical music, from opera to jazz.  
Concerning documentary screenings, the following will be proposed
the first national screening of Mario Martone's video on the poetics of Mimmo Jodice, presented by Marino Niola (1 June);
Among the protagonists for classical music:
Gianluca Luisi, at the end of his masterclass (9-12 May), will perform a piano concert in memory of Alberto Napolitano, with music by J.S.Bach;
the Ensemble La Marca Felice with Marc Vanscheeuwijck, Susanne Scholz, Dario Luisi, and Riccardo Lorenzetti, will perform La Sonata a tre in the early 18th century (24 August);
Sergio Lattes will be a guest again this year with his Concerto con parole: he will perform music by Liszt, Debussy, Ravel on the piano (31 August);
for the closing concert, entitled "RAIN & FRIENDS. Musica a casa Schumann', Grazia Raimondi, Pamela Freund-Striplen, Luigi Piovano and Giuliano Mazzoccante will perform (28 September).
For jazz music, the appointments will be:
"Inner Pictures" with Manuel Magrini and Federico Gili (15 June);
"Psychosis" Homage to Bernard Herrmann with Carla Marciano, Alessandro La Corte Aldo Vigorito and Gaetano Fasano (6 July);
"Poems" with Giovanni Amato, Dario Deidda and Alessandro La Corte (3 August).
The two temporary photography exhibitions, curated by Arianna Catania, will be one dedicated to the unpublished archive of Swiss photographer Peggy Kleiber (18 May-3 November); the other, dedicated to the work of Roman photographer Stefano Cerio (29 June-3 November).
In addition to the aforementioned events, from 1 to 6 October the festival will host the first edition of the Postignano Music Festival, conceived as a continuous dialogue between all the arts and between renowned artists and young talents, with music ranging from baroque to modern to contemporary music.
