From 26 September to 13 October 2024, as part of the SEED festival, it will be possible to visit Evaristo Petrocchi's exhibition entitled ‘Promenade Inside’ at the Church of Sant'Angelo della Pace in Perugia.
Nine large collages by the Roman artist will be on display, creating an itinerary inside the naves and chapels of the Church, focusing on themes dear to Petrocchi, such as the transformation of Nature, the rules that determine it and regulate human coexistence on Earth, and the preservation of the identity of places and territories. 
The collages combine photographic and naturalistic elements of great evocative power, as evidenced in the exhibition by both the early works such as ‘Viale profondo’ (2013) , and the more recent ‘...e se i pomograni, il tabacco, la santolina e la salvia selvatica fossero disperrsi nell'universo...’ (2024). 
In the centre of the aisle stands Vortice di baccelli di alberi di giuda (2013), a large-scale collage in which the restless and unstable nature, faced with climate change, has at its centre, in a small photographic image, the human figure of a magic player who seems to wander among the trees.
The pods constitute the essential naturalistic material of the work and the composition of the work impresses them as a forced acceleration to evoke a feeling of inner unease. The theme of the work is precisely the representation of unease in nature to which man is no stranger.
Nature and the human: the exhibition is totally pervaded by this tension, it determines it, it makes us part of it.
