Books are blossoming in Italy from the 23rd April to the 31st May: with the spring arrival, beyond nature, also the desire to read will wake up again thanks to the "May of Books", the national campaign to promote reading.

The scheduled events will be articulated along four different thematic lines:

- Bibliotherapy, in prisons, in the limited schools and in the multifunctional homeless shelters with readings, literary cinema discussions and other appointments;
- Shakespeare 400, a series of appointments focused on the famous Stratford poet's death anniversary;
- The Little free libraries, to help spreading small free libraries;
- The libraries enhancement.
