Tuesday 12 March will see the opening of the exhibition 'BURRI: Tempere 1947-1990' at the Ex Seccatoi del Tabacco in Città di Castello to celebrate the anniversary of the Maestro's birth.

The exhibition covers more than one hundred tempera works by the artist, never before seen by the general public and preserved by Burri among small and medium format works, drawings and graphic works created during his forty years of production.

The exhibition is aimed at exalting Burri's assiduity in the exercise of colour and in his masterly use of chromatic consonances, often innovative in their juxtapositions, which were considered not to conform to the principles of canonical harmony.
