From 14 December 2024 to 23 March 2025 Perugia will host the exhibition ‘Dorothea Lange’ at Palazzo della Penna - Centre for Contemporary Arts.
The exhibition, curated by Walter Guadagnini and Monica Poggi, consists of over 130 shots that recount ten fundamental years of work in the career of Dorothea Lange, one of the greatest American photographers of the 20th century. 
The exhibition focuses on the 1930s and 1940s, a period in which she documented the epoch-making events that changed the economic and social structure of the United States.
Dorothea Lange is the author of Migrant Mother (1936) - one of the most famous photographs of the last century - and an undisputed protagonist of 20th century documentary photography.
