La nuova debolezza

Until 20 October 2024 it will be possible to visit in Spoleto, on the second floor of Palazzo Collicola, "La nuova debolezza. Photographs from the Attolico Collection", curated by Serena Schioppa and Saverio Verini.
The title takes up a phrase by collector Bianca Attolico, who defined her interest in photography, which grew in the early 2000s, as her "new weakness". Based on a selection of works, the exhibition offers a broad overview of contemporary photography, through themes and views ranging from the urban landscape to the natural landscape, to an interest in portraits and the human figure. The names include internationally renowned contemporary artists such as Regina Josè Galindo, Thomas Ruff, Santiago Sierra, Anri Sala, Jonathan Monk and Elisabetta Benassi, alongside historic Italian authors such as Mario Giacomelli, Gabriele Basilico and Gianni Berengo Gardin.
The exhibition is intended to further underline the bond between Palazzo Collicola and the Attolico family, which has been close to the museum and its activities for many years, not least thanks to Elena Attolico's commitment as president of the 'Friends of Palazzo Collicola' association.
