Umbria Forum - Programma autunno e inverno 2024/2025
After the success of the spring initiatives, Umbria Forum continues with a programme of shows capable of attracting a heterogeneous audience and providing unforgettable moments, at the PalaTerni.
The programme includes the following appointments:
On 8 November 2024 Massimo Ranieri, one of the best-loved voices of Italian music, returns to the stage with a show that will thrill. ‘Tutti i sogni ancora in volo’ is a journey through his extraordinary career, an interweaving of singing, acting and untold stories.
Ranieri returns to the public with a repertoire ranging from his greatest hits to more recent songs, including those written by the likes of Ivano Fossati, Bruno Lauzi and Giuliano Sangiorgi. The renovated set design and the accompaniment of a band of talented musicians will frame an evening in which Italian auteur music will be the absolute protagonist.
On 20 December, Umbria Forum will pay tribute to one of the greatest composers of our time, Ennio Morricone, with the evening entitled ‘We All Love Ennio Morricone’: an emotional journey through the soundtracks that have marked the history of cinema and music. Luigi Caiola, the Maestro's historic manager, will guide the audience in a story that interweaves personal anecdotes with live performances of his most iconic works. The performances will be entrusted to the ViVas! Terni conducted by Maestro Marco Gatti, composed of 28 young and talented musicians.
On 23 December Charles Dickens' Christmas classic, “A Christmas Carol,” returns to life on stage in a musical written and directed by Melina Pellicano, with music by Stefano Lori and Marco Caselle. With a cast of 20 performers, special effects and impressive sets, the show will take the audience on an emotional journey through Victorian London, offering an unforgettable theatrical experience that will enchant adults and children alike.
On 19 January 2025 it will be time for a spectacular event: ‘The Three Musketeers - Opera Pop,’ a modern interpretation of Alexandre Dumas' classic that combines music, prose and dance. Directed by Giuliano Peparini, the show stars Gio' Di Tonno, Vittorio Matteucci and Graziano Galatone as the legendary Athos, Porthos and Aramis.
On 19 February ‘Mare Fuori Il Musical’ lands at the PalaTerni, bringing the magic and intensity of the popular TV series to the stage. Directed by Alessandro Siani, the play is a depiction of life inside a juvenile detention facility, where impossible loves and family conflicts intertwine in a gripping narrative.
On 28 March, ‘Forza venite gente!’: a show faithful to the original in terms of plot and content, dramaturgical development and musical scores, but renewed in terms of technology and staging quality. The plot, centred on the figure of Saint Francis, Patron Saint of Italy, recounts the values and emotions of everyday life, but dedicates moments and reflections on the relationship between fathers and sons, often contaminated by different expectations and distant values.
Lastly, on 4 April, Francesco Gabbani will perform a concert of his new tour, entitled ‘Natale in un qualsiasi giovedì’ (Christmas on any Thursday). The show will encapsulate 10 years of music: from his first songs to his Sanremo successes, right up to his new songs.
