From 1 July, for the whole summer, it will be possible to take part in "R...Estate in biblioteca", a set of initiatives proposed by the Library System of the Municipality of Perugia, in order to make the summer pleasant, stimulating and instructive for those in the city.
The libraries involved will be: Arconi, Biblionet, San Matteo degli Armeni and Sandro Penna, the Biblioteca delle Nuvole, the Centro Studi Americanistici Circolo Amerindiano and BiblioArna di Ripa.
The calendar of events in July includes over 140 initiatives of all kinds for 31 days: games and animated readings for children, art-therapy workshops for children, young people and adults, reading groups, musical events, drawing workshops, face-to-face meetings with experts for discussions and debates, and exhibitions.
Thanks to the volunteers of the Circolo LaAV (Letture ad Alta Voce) of Perugia, there will also be a chance to discover the finalist novels of the National Literary Prize and then to decree the winner of this edition's tenth published fiction final.
Of absolute importance is the new proposal of the "silent reading" group, in open-air spaces: a fascinating cognitive activity that involves the inner voice and imagination of the participants to then give space for comparison, sharing and socialising with other silent readers.
In addition to the traditional libraries, there will also be the Bibliobus, which, with numerous activities, will be active from time to time at the Parco della Pescaia, at the Parco Sant'Anna, at the Case Nuove di Ponte della Pietra cva and at the Percorso Verde 'Leonardo Cenci', in Castel del Piano, Ponte Felcino and San Martino in Campo.
