The twelfth edition of Unto (Unesco, Nature, Territory, Oil), an event dedicated to freshly pressed extra virgin olive oil and the valorisation of the excellence of the territory, this year as part of the Frantoi Aperti event, will be held from 31 October to 1 December 2024 in Assisi.
There will be numerous appointments, including guided visits to the Unesco heritage site, tastings with experts in the sector, conferences, market exhibitions, trekking and cultural walks, concerts and workshops for children, as well as free visits to the oil mills, where you can experience the thrill of live pressing and taste the new oil on bruschetta.
Among this year's novelties is the return to Piazza del Comune of the market exhibition dedicated to extra virgin olive oil and other typical products of Assisi and Umbria, such as truffles, cured meats, legumes, wine, honey and lavender, which will be held from 31 October to 3 November and will feature various farms in the area. The exhibition will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with continuous opening hours and free entrance. 
The excursion programme to discover the territory is also rich, with oil tastings and convivial moments in the open air. 

Sunday 24 November ‘Bruschetta in bicicletta’: two bicycle routes to taste the Umbrian territory and oil.
Also on 24 November, at the Piazza dei Caduti in Tordandrea di Assisi, visitors can take part in the traditional ‘Castagnata’ with tasting of new wine and oil.
On Saturday 30 November, instead, the Festa dell'Olio and the second edition of the ‘La Frasca d'Argento’ competition will be held.
Lastly, on Sunday 1 December, from 09.00 to 12.00, there will be an excursion (easy level) of around 10 km, with a guide, through the beauty of the Petrignanese countryside.
