Villaggio di Babbo Natale a Terni
From 1 December 2024 to 7 January 2025, the Father Christmas Village will be open at Piazza Europa in Terni.
The layout, inspired by the enchanting atmosphere of the Dresden Christmas Village, will create a unique immersion in an authentic Nordic forest.
The fir trees, of various sizes and adorned with warm, twinkling lights, will create a fairy-tale landscape. The village paths will be dotted with atmospheric light installations, while wooden chalets, decorated with natural pine branches and lit with delicate lights, will offer traditional Christmas sweets and Tyrolean delicacies.
The big attraction will be Santa's chalet, where the little ones will be able to deliver their letters in a fairy-tale setting, enhanced by the presence of a sleigh and reindeer. Next to it, the big Christmas tree, illuminated by thousands of lights, will be the beating heart of the village, while sweet Christmas melodies piped in will envelop the entire area in an atmosphere of serenity.
The city's squares and historical palaces will be the setting for the Christmas magic.
Palazzo Spada will be animated with projections of a snowy forest, creating a surprising effect of depth.
Palazzo Morandi and Palazzo Montani, on the other hand, will be illuminated by architectural light effects, while the Church of San Giovanni will come to life with shades of colour.
The Village will extend from Piazza Europa to Piazza della Repubblica, uniting the squares with a sky of luminous stars that will accompany visitors on an immersive journey.
The programme also includes spectacular moments, such as the ‘Great Snowfall’, scheduled for 8, 12 and 19 December, enriched by smoke machines that will create an evocative play of fog and lights. In addition, fairy tale characters and mascots will bring the village to life, while Disneyland-style musical shows will entertain visitors with unforgettable performances.
