From 11 July to 1 September 2024, it will be possible to visit the exhibition "Vinum Inundans" by Richard di San Marzano in Torgiano, at the MUVIT - Museo del Vino.
The exhibition will consist of 28 works: 21 watercolours of "Vinum" (made on 100% cotton Fabriano paper - cm. 76x56.5) - 5 abstract works (watercolours on 100% cotton Fabriano paper, of various sizes, from cm. 56.5x76 to cm. 100x70 cm.) and 2 posters, one made for El Paso Chamber Music Festival (watercolour on 100% cotton Fabriano paper, 55x87 cm., 1998) and a smaller print of the original artwork used for the 5th edition of Umbria Jazz Winter (watercolour on 100% cotton Fabriano paper, 1998).
This range of works opens up to temperament and delicacy, imprint and lightness, sketch and silhouette, scream and smile. Colours and nuances from which to emerge, rise and shine.
In San Marzano's watercolours, movement stops, the light touch of colour fixes the moment while reds, garnets and amaranths play, shine and stretch out on the soft white of the precious paper; in the company of other plates in which the palette has bright lights, tones and colours, yearning for exuberant and playful life.
