Christmas shakes its wand and it is immediately magic in Santa Lucia (Perugia), from 8 December 2024 to 6 January 2025.
The Pro loco Santa Lucia aims to reawaken the spirit, wonder and amazement that Christmas arouses, organising events and offering opportunities to get together and enjoy each other's company.
Animating the streets of Santa Lucia will be the evocative illuminations and the most typical characters of the Nativity scene, such as the Three Kings with their camels (Rotatoria degli Angeli, near the railway subway), followed by shepherds, washerwomen, artisans, pipers, bakers and others; concluding the itinerary will be innovative protagonists such as the Angora combing and spinning machine and the seamstress at the entrance to the Luisa Spagnoli company.
Maestro Quintaliani's art will come to life through the 40 silhouettes, 25 of which are newly created, life-size, portrayed by him in a contemporary style and with bright colours, organised in 15 stations.
The figures will be lit by eco-friendly, energy-saving LED spotlights.
The Inauguration will be held on 8 December at 4.30 p.m. at Via del Cashmere,1.
However, Maestro Quintiliani's Author's Crib will not be the only one to decorate St. Lucy's. It will also be accompanied by: a handcrafted crib at the Annalisa Hall, another handcrafted crib prepared by children at St. Lucy's Park, an exhibition of artwork by the children of the Primary School, and a Grove of lights with the characters and paintings of the crib at St. Lucy's Park.
