On Friday 15, Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 November 2024 the 500th Anniversary International Conference - Alessandro Geraldini will be held on the theme ‘Humanism, the new world, the problem of the other’, at the Sala Boccarini in Amelia and the CET Toscolano in Avigliano Umbro.
In this context, it will be possible to take part in numerous initiatives and meetings, including: on 15 November, the Lectio Magistralis ‘Mediterraneo e Atlantico all'alba dell'età moderna’ held by Guglielmo de Giovanni - Centelles, Accademico dei Virtuosi al Pantheon and ‘Cristoforo Colombo per A. Geraldini and for Girolamo Fracastoro’ by Stefano Pittalunga of the University of Genoa; on 16 November “A. Geraldini and his Itinerarium: the vision of his own world and the other” by Carmen G. Vazquez of the Universidad Autonoma of Madrid, ’The epigraphic interests of A. Geraldini and his Monumenta antiquitatum Romanorum’ by Gerard G. Germain of the Universitat Autonoma of Barcelona; on 18 November the Deputazione Storia Patria per l'Umbria “Addita superibus mitis oliva sull'araldica di casa Geraldini e sulla sua evoluzione” by Francesco Canali.
