This itinerary, of low difficulty both in terms of travel time and altitude difference, is an excellent opportunity to explore the Umbrian valley, both for its landscape and its characteristic villages.
Cyclists will cross the Umbrian countryside, meeting the Tiber several times, passing through boundless fields and a few gentle hills that will be overcome without difficulty.

The route begins in the pretty village of Torgiano, a fortified medieval hamlet, built at the end of the 13th century. Its history, however, is less recent than is generally believed; Roman remains have been found, which in turn were built on Etruscan foundations.

Bikers can already admire the ancient charm of the town, with its walls and its tower - Torre Baglioni - that is the symbol of the medieval town.

The route runs on easy roads that never have particularly steep gradients, passing through the rural hamlets of the municipality of Perugia such as San Martino in Campo and San Martino in Colle.

The last portion of the route runs alongside the Tiber, which will remain the biker's 'faithful companion' until the final stage, Deruta.

In Deruta, the Municipal Museum of Ceramics, a precious heritage of one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, is not to be missed.

It is the oldest Ceramics Museum in Italy and is a must-see destination especially for the more creative, who will appreciate its cultural richness and timeless artistic beauty.
