The great river Tiber, from the slopes of Monte Fumaiolo to Umbria, gives life to one of the territory's splendid natural settings: the Tiber River Park. This is a protected natural area established in 1990 and managed by the WWF, with an area of no less than 7,295 hectares that includes the municipalities of Todi, Montecastello di Vibio, Orvieto, Baschi, Montecchio, Guardea and Alviano.
Following the course of the river, which crosses Umbria for 50 kilometres, one can discover numerous panoramic views and important archaeological, monumental and cultural testimonies. It is also possible to practise various sports here: from trekking to cycling, and even canoeing and caving.
