‘’The roar of waters!’’ so the English poet Lyron Byron in 1817 began in his poem ‘’Childe Harold's Pilgrimage’’ written during his Gran Tour, to represent the strenghth and majesty of Terni’s Marmore Falls: a man- made setting that has always been a source of inspiration for poets and painters and one of the many destinations to return to discover Umbria’s water sources, fresh landscapes rich in history.
