WELLNESS IN THE GREEN HEART OF ITALY
The Umbria Wellness Consortium - Club Vitae currently unites 23 facilities including spas, thermal hotels, wellness centres, spas and beauty farms, all of which are particularly suited and equipped to offer products and services aimed at achieving personal wellness through holidays. On the one hand, there is wellness, a tourist phenomenon that is constantly growing and evolving. The target of wellness tourism, if at one time it was mostly female and young, today it is very heterogeneous and transversal, united by the desire to receive personalised care and attention. The particular nature of the service offered requires a high level of professionalism, a broad and diversified preparation of the personnel working there, continuous updates and avant-garde instruments. The ultimate goal is to make the customer feel good, to pamper him. Today, wellness is a true lifestyle, whose prerogative is to achieve and maintain good physical fitness combined with relaxation and healthy daily habits, a psycho-physical well-being. On the other side is Umbria, a small jewel from a naturalistic and historical-artistic point of view: boundless countryside and cultivations of vineyards and olive groves alternate with stupendous cities of art and small medieval villages. A natural oasis, where scenic and artistic riches combine to inspire in the visitor a profound sense of balance and serenity. It is no coincidence that Umbria is called the 'green heart of Italy', precisely because the landscape is a succession of hills and mountains, woods and green meadows, olive groves and vines, rivers and streams, waterfalls and springs. Two concepts, that of wellbeing and territory, are closely linked: the natural environment offers evocative places where one can completely abandon oneself, relax and immerse oneself, forgetting even for a few days the stress of daily life. The Umbria Wellness Consortium - Club Vitae fits into this rich and extraordinary context with its tourist facilities equipped with all the comforts and services that allow total wellness to be achieved. Period residences, charming relais, resorts, farm holidays, country houses, sporting centres, hotels with beauty farms, wellness centres and spas: there are currently 23 selected facilities, all of the highest level, distributed throughout Umbria. Treating oneself to a stay in one of the structures of the Umbria Wellness Consortium means regenerating body and mind, choosing from the different types of accommodation and the different formulas provided, depending on the specific needs of one's holiday. Beauty-farms and spas represent the ideal place for those in search of perfect physical form, to be achieved through specific beauty treatments for face and body, mud baths, massages, electro-stimulation, followed by a highly competent medical staff specialised in physiotherapy, nutrition and targeted treatments for the care of body and mind. Health and wellness also pass through the spas that exploit the thermal mineral water springs in which the subsoil is rich, to take care of oneself in a completely natural way, through new rehabilitation techniques, scientific research and beauty treatments. The Umbria Wellness Consortium - Club Vitae offers an important tool that allows for the development of a form of collective entrepreneurship, a common positioning strategy, the result of a shared work among the realities that operate in the sector and in the territory. The innovative aspect lies in the cultural shift from the tourism of 'destinations' to that of 'motivations'; this is how the holiday becomes a conscious choice. The tourist embarks on a journey in the sphere of wellbeing, while at the same time approaching the territory, its scenic beauty, and its historical, cultural and eno-gastronomic resources. In fact, it should not be forgotten that wellness also comes from taste, from a healthy and genuine diet, another fundamental element for the Umbria Wellness Consortium. The result is a holiday full of emotions and suggestions, where one can regenerate and relax far from the stress of everyday life, among cities of art, small medieval villages set on high hills immersed in oases of peace, or at ancient farmhouses amidst olive groves and vineyards.
