‘Vivi il Natale a Gualdo Tadino 2024’ returns from 30 November 2024 to 15 January 2025, with a rich calendar of events suitable for all ages, including lights, sounds, traditions, characters and colours that will animate the town.
The initiatives will range from Father Christmas's House to theatre shows, children's activities, nativity scenes and excursions, creating a unique and evocative atmosphere for young and old.
In detail, the main events will be as follows:
It will begin on 30 November with ‘Divino in Vino’, while on 1 December there will be the lighting of the illuminations and the performance of the Sarabanda Choir, at 4.45 pm, at the Church of San Francesco and in the historical centre.
It will continue on the dates of 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 24 and 25 December with the Rocca Flea that will open its doors to the House of Father Christmas, with activities for children such as the creation of Christmas letters and balls, and entertainment by the ‘La Casa degli Angeli’ stable with saddle jumping.
On 1 December, in Piazza Soprammuro, from 4.15 p.m. one can visit the artistic Nativity scene, and at 6 p.m. one can take part in the dance performance of the Umbra Ballet school, in Piazza Martiri.
On 21 December, at the Don Bosco Theatre, at 5 p.m., it will be time for the Nativity Show.
On 25, 26 December 2024 and 1 and 6 January 2025, the Living Crib ‘Venite Adoremus’ will be staged at Orti Istituto Bambin Gesù.
On 22, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 December and 1, 4, 5 and 6 January 2025, at the Church of San Giuseppe Artigiano, the San Giuseppe Artigiano Crib will be open.
From 8 December to 15 January, with openings on Saturdays and Sundays, the Crib Santuario Divino Amore will be open.
Creative workshops, animations and the visit of characters from the Disney world, including Elsa and Anna, and the Grinch, will make the Christmas period even more special. In detail: ‘The Magic of Father Christmas’ on 21 and ‘The Grinch’ on 22 December, with a themed creative workshop.
Lastly, Gualdo Tadino will celebrate Epiphany with a concert performance by the Banda Musicale di Gualdo Tadino, at the Teatro Talia at 6 pm, on 5 January. Following this, on 6 January, there will be the traditional Befana of the Fire Brigade in the historical centre.
