The 6th edition of ‘Il Trionfo del Bosco’ (The Triumph of the Forest), in the hamlet of Meggiano di Vallo di Nera, will be held on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 October 2024.
The event is aimed at getting to know the area's woods, woodland practices and spontaneous products, as well as at enhancing the ancient charcoal kilns still present in the area, by means of specific paths to rediscover the ancient wood-fuelled ovens that were lit for the production of foods such as bread, typical sweets, dried and preserved fruit. 
A further objective is the promotion of landscapes, good eating and good living with insights into local agricultural production and the products of the land. 
There will be numerous activities to take part in, including product tastings at local farms with excursions focusing on the excellence of the area, meetings with local producers, food and wine and cultural itineraries of tastings and samplings with combinations of history and art, Cooking Shows with free tastings of dishes with combinations of local products, activities concerning outdoor sports, music, entertainment and impromptu painting exhibitions.
