Umbria Green Festival
Until 14 September 2024 it will be possible to take part in numerous events offered by Umbria Green festival, the first Umbrian Green Festival, in various locations including Perugia, Acquasparta, Orvieto, Assisi and Santa Maria degli Angeli.
On 27 August, at 9 p.m., at Palazzo Cesi in Acquasparta, Alessandro Quarta with ‘The Five Elements’ will bring his music to the 5 elements, transform them and make them his own; he will bring the quintessence of nature in concert, in the wonder of the union between music and nature.
On 30 August, the Auditorium of San Francesco al Prato in Perugia will host a unique event: the meetings of the Fabbrica del Mondo, a dialogue that began three years ago and will end in Perugia in 2024.
‘Life was born and developed along the courses of rivers and for millennia man has inhabited their banks. We have gradually learnt to manage water, bending it to new needs and uses. We abandoned the banks to live elsewhere, inland, wherever water could reach or wherever it could be found, but we remained rivals, inhabitants of opposing banks. As long as there is enough water we put up with each other, but when the drought comes?’
Marco Paolini will discuss this with Andrea Rinaldo, Professor of Hydraulic Construction at the University of Padua, Elisa Palazzi, Climatologist and Professor of Climate Physics at the University of Turin, Stefano Fenoglio, Professor of Zoology at the University of Turin.
All with the moderation of Giulia Bassetto, author, develop the concept of Human Security that sees the person and all dimensions related to it, at the centre of the paradigm, with particular interest in the prevention of threats to food and environmental security.
On 31 August, at 6 p.m., again at the Auditorium San Francesco al Prato, in Perugia, The Meetings of the World Factory, with ‘Civil prevention, between risks and hopes, followed by “Bello Mondo” by and with Elisa Palazzi and Federico Taddia.
On 7 September at 9.00 p.m., at the Teatro Mancinelli in Orvieto, the concert Tre Fenomeni (Three Phenomena), by Oscar winner Nicola Piovani who will conduct the Vittorio Calamani Philharmonic Orchestra.
On 13 September at 9.15 p.m. Nomadic with ‘Canto per la biodiversità’, in Santa Maria degli Angeli, at the Lyrick Theatre.
Finally, on 14 September, at 9.15 p.m., the closing of Postino's ‘Le cose da dire l'estate tour’, at Palazzo cesi in Acquasparta.
