Market exhibition of the Black Celery of Trevi and Sausage Festival
The Black Celery of Trevi, that has been grown in the area since the 17th century, is one of the six Slow Food Presidia in Umbria.
It’s a product with particular features that needs a long and not at all easy cultivation that, however, makes it unique in its kind.
The main square of the town is filled with wooden boxes and “Celery makers” waiting for the race to start: each of them displays his best samples in order to get the first prize.
Therefore, on the 14th and 15th October the Black Celery will be the protagonist of a series of initiatives and appointments already included in the rich calendar of the October in Trevi: a two-days event where the precious vegetable is going to meet other products of the territory, also thanks to the Sausage Festival that in 2017 is going to accompany the market exhibition.
