Over 200 events for Assisi Estate 2024, including concerts, shows, festivals, art, culture
beauty, nature and excursions.
Among the main initiatives, great expectations for Suoni Controvento, with two concerts at the Rocca Maggiore: on 1 August Cristiano De Andrè and on 3 Mr Rain. Also here, Riverock festival will offer various musical events from 25 to 28 July, with names such as Cosmo, Giò Evan, Marlene Kunz, Selton, Margherita Vicario and many others. Again at the Rocca Maggiore, in August in the Giardino degli Incanti, a film festival with great films under the stars.
And more music with Cambio Festival, an event dedicated to World Music, with high-profile and internationally high-profile and internationally renowned artists such as James Senese, Danilo Rossi and the Trio Gipsy, Stefano Ruiz de Ballesteros, Mag Trio, Pieranunzi Trio, who will perform in June, July and August.
From 22 to 28 July, the 'Symposium of Wood': sculptors of international standing will create works of art in the squares and alleyways of the city, starting from an olive root.
Singular performances, with multiple artistic languages, workshops and original shows, in
unprecedented locations in the city, will give life to the Every Corner, Every Stone project.
The Mount Subasio Park will host, from June to September, over 30 free excursions
for young and old, to discover the natural beauty of the mountain on whose slopes
rises Assisi. The highlight event is Ascent to the Mount, on 13 and 14 July: a special and evocative sensorial, playful and recreational experience, including trekking and concerts in the forest.
From 6 July to 6 September the Note di Assisi festival: musical and other events, with
local artists, who will perform in the heart of the city and in Santa Maria degli Angeli.
From 15 to 20 August, the second edition of De MusicAssisi, the first festival of medieval music in Umbria, with internationally renowned groups, conferences, workshops, guided tours, market exhibitions and much more.
The long Assisian summer is also marked by the traditional palii: Palio del Cupolone from
14 to 23 June in Santa Maria degli Angeli and Palio di San Rufino from 17 to 25 August in the historical centre. Various art exhibitions, two of them above all: at the Rocca Maggiore, 'Listening to the Flight of the birds" by Carlos Garaicoa; "Assisi in the 20th century. The visual arts" in the Pinacoteca Comunale.
