The 44th edition of the world's largest Christmas Tree, in Gubbio, will be held from 7 December 2024 to 12 January 2025.
The Tree, which has now entered the Guinness Book of Records, has been erected since 1981 on Mount Ingino, which is located behind the town of Gubbio. In detail, it is composed of about 700 luminous bodies of various types and colours, is over 750 metres high and occupies an area of apparently 130,000 square metres. Moreover, it hides its roots inside the walls of the medieval city, reaching as high as the Basilica of Sant'Ubaldo thanks to its star, located on top of Mount Ingino.
As per tradition, the Tree will be lit on 7 December at 6 p.m., on the eve of Immaculate Conception Day. Lighting times will be from sunset until late at night over the festive period.
