Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo - Corciano

The Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo, also called Palazzo del Capitano del Contado, is at the end of Via Fusaiola near Coragino Square at Corciano.

Built in the 15th century, it was the ancient residence of the Captain of the County, the officer who was sent in the subdued territories from Perugia, which dominated Corciano.
The palace, flanked by the Palazzo dei Priori and the Mercanzia, has a Renaissance style brick facade on which there are two large stone portals and four elegant windows.
