The enchanting piazza di Fortebraccio takes the name from the captain of fortune Andrea Fortebracci, so called Braccio da Montone, who was lord of the manor starting from the 13th century.
Montone
Montone
It’s the seat of the Montone’s town hall, and is located at the centre of the medieval village, from which several alleys flanked by houses with a curtain masonry depart. It’s a charming spot, where it’s possible to breath an atmosphere of other times; from the square you can see, towering over the alleys of the village, the high civic tower with the clock on one façade.
