Vini Doc Spoleto

Vini Doc Spoleto

The beautiful, atmospheric town of Spoleto overlooks the periphery of the Valley of Umbria, known as the Spoleto Valley. Its beauty comes not only from the surrounding landscape but in particular from the many historic monuments to be found here.

They include the spectacular Bridge of Towers, the Albornoz Fortress, the Cathedral and the Roman Temple.

The outstanding gastronomic culture of this area is dominated by the Trebbiano Spoletino denomination, a vine that has recently been rediscovered and revived. Wine production is accompanied by a long tradition in the production of extra-virgin olive oil, particularly in the nearby town of Trevi. Particularly important in this zone is the Norcia black truffle, which influences much of the cuisine in the town, but also the wider area.
