From 1 June to 29 September, it will be possible to visit Alessandra Baldoni's photographic exhibition "Il futuro non è più quello di una volta" (The future is no longer what it used to be), at the Torre del Lambardi exhibition spaces, in Magione.
The artist, who has exhibited in important national and international museum spaces, from Milan to Singapore, recounts, through 25 works and 5 objects, some of which were created during the pandemic period, her reflection on the emotional repercussions and the wounds that were opening up in society as a consequence of an event that changed, and would continue to change, the way we perceive reality. The exhibition is accompanied by a text edited by Veruska Picchiarelli.
In her projects, Alessandra Baldoni always tries to tell stories, to identify plots to give meaning to what is happening. Discovering what was and is changed and how, investigating errors, short circuits and solutions, portraying faces - uncertain and defenceless - and being told what people feel by giving body to words through details and situations.
Here, then, are images of ancient statues, empty theatres, museums where the works are left alone and deprived of the gaze, landscapes, laconic details, the remains of a passage that reveal, and amplify, the sense of instability and uncertainty of this historical moment.
